OUR STRUCTURE
We started Tavoos with the idea of using the “business” of yoga to better the lives of the less fortunate. As we do not believe in profiting from yoga, we established Tavoos as a non-profit social venture.
Our structure is very unique, as non of our Canadian or Dutch founders and team members get paid from Tavoos. We all volunteer our time and skills. The only members of Tavoos who get paid are our Cambodian staff. After we pay our staff and rent, all remaining funds go towards our three humanitarian initiatives.
GET INVOLVED
By taking part in our yoga teacher training courses (YTTC), you are directly making an impact to the local community. When you join our YTTC, you will have the chance to physically visit our projects and take part. During the course, we dedicate one day to taking you and your fellow classmates into the countryside to see the water well installed because of you attending our course. You also will have the chance to meet the families who are enjoying access to clean water.
Furthermore, you can sign up to dedicate a few days after the course ends to help us dig water wells or take part in the incredible women’s hygiene education program which we support.
